What does the journey beyond school look like?
For our Year 11 students at TCES North West London School, that question recently came into sharper focus during a visit to Northeastern University London, where they had the opportunity to step onto a university campus and explore what higher education could offer in the future.
During the visit, students learned about university life, the support available to students and the wide range of courses and career pathways that higher education can open up. For many, it was a valuable chance to see what studying at university might look like and to begin imagining the possibilities ahead of them.
But what stood out most throughout the day was the way our students approached the experience. Curious, engaged and eager to learn more, they asked thoughtful questions and represented TCES North West London School with real pride.
Visits like this are an important part of helping young people build confidence, raise aspirations and explore the many pathways available beyond school. By stepping into new environments and hearing directly about future opportunities, students are able to see that their ambitions are not only possible, but within reach.
We are incredibly proud of our Year 11 students and the way they embraced the experience, acting as true ambassadors for TCES throughout the visit!
