TCES East London school had a successful Open Day on Thursday, March 14th. The event was well-attended by a mixture of parents and professionals who were interested in learning more about the school's offerings. The Headteacher delivered an engaging talk that covered various aspects of TCES, including its curriculum, therapeutic education approach, and how to enroll. The feedback session following the talk went smoothly, with support from the TCES senior team and onsite staff. 

Prospective parents and professionals are given the opportunity to: 

• Meet our experienced and dedicated staff, including the Headteacher.
• Visit our Post-16 Hub and speak to our staff and current pupils.
• Take a tour of our school and participate in some fun activities.
• Learn more about our approach to education and how we support neurodiverse pupils.
• Opportunity to ask any questions you may have about our school or TCES to the staff and admissions team.

Attendees are then given a guided tour of the school, allowing them to gain insight into how lessons are taught and managed within the classroom setting. The turnout for the Open Day exceeded expectations and improved from the previous Open Day held in November 2023.

It was an astounding success, and we received positive feedback from parents and carers.

One mentioned “I was already sold by the time I parked my car in front of the school. You wouldn’t believe it, I found this event on Facebook, and I’m gutted that I didn’t know about this school after all this time.” Their comment highlights the effectiveness of the event in showcasing TCES East London school and generating interest amongst prospective families and professionals.

“We were impressed by the ethos and methodology of the school, particularly the emphasis on a bespoke and individualised approach to teaching, learning and qualifications catering to different pupils' issues. Although our son Laurie, who accompanied us, was very quiet during the actual visit, on leaving the site he immediately remarked that he liked the school and felt it would be a good solution for him. We will therefore ask our Local Authority case officer, once they are allocated to us, to consult with the school.” - Parent
