One Year On: TCES National Online School Reflects On Groundbreaking DfE Accreditation
In January 2024, the TCES National Online School reached a historic milestone and became the first online SEND school to receive accreditation under the Department for Education’s Online Education Accreditation Scheme. As we mark a year since this significant achievement, we reflect on the National Online School’s journey and the impact of this recognition.
Over the past year, TCES National Online School has continued to provide a comprehensive and therapeutic curriculum tailored to each student's unique needs. We continue to offer personalised learning through online teaching, ensuring that our students receive quality education regardless of their circumstances or needs.
As the educational landscape evolves, TCES National Online School remains at the forefront of innovation, ensuring that students with SEND needs have access to the education they deserve. The accreditation has reinforced our mission to deliver quality education, and create an inclusive and supportive online environment where students can thrive.
Since receiving the accreditation, TCES National Online School has seen remarkable growth, and is supporting students across the country and internationally.
Reflecting on the year since receiving the accreditation, Kirsten Roy, Headteacher of the National Online School, expressed pride in the team's efforts:
“This past year has been filled with growth, innovation, and unwavering commitment to removing barriers to learning, and I couldn’t be prouder of our students and staff.”
Looking ahead, we are dedicated to building on this foundation, continuing to adapt and improve to meet the needs of our students. The journey since the accreditation has been one of growth and reaffirmation of our core values, never giving up on children and supporting them to thrive in education.
