TCES visits the national children's commissioning and contracting training conference programme

A productive and engaging experience at the National Children’s Commissioning and Contracting Training Conference Programme (NCCTC) on June 28th and 29th at the Hayes Centre in Swanwick, Derbyshire. The conference aimed to foster networking and collaboration amongst professionals involved in commissioning and delivering services for children, with a particular emphasis on engaging the independent sector.

The event was organised by representatives from Local Authorities, Health, and the Department for Education and Skills (DfES), in collaboration with academic leaders in social care policy. Throughout the two days, there were a variety of talks; a welcome speech from the Chair, Kathy Evans, panel discussions, and round-table sessions, providing opportunities for participants to exchange ideas and discuss important topics related to children and adult services. 

 

 

 

 

One of the highlights of the conference was a talk given by our CEO and Proprietor, Thomas Keaney and Head of National Online School, Kirsten Roy on the topic of 'Ghostbusters: sharing creative responses to combat the growing number of children missing education.' The feedback received for this session was fantastic, with participants praising the discussions and the innovative approaches presented.
