Create in the community Graduation Day 2023

Celebrating our students' success and achievements

TCES Create in the Community proudly celebrated the graduation of their latest graduates 2023, Tuesday 18th July.  The event was a testament to the success of TCES' commitment to change and development throughout the year. The dedicated staff and hardworking pupils were acknowledged and thanked for their unwavering efforts in making the year a resounding success.

The graduation ceremony was thoughtfully organised both on-site and virtually within the community, ensuring that everyone could participate and share the joy of this momentous occasion. The ceremony was hosted by Stephen Hehir, Head of Service, who did an outstanding job.

The ceremony was made even more special with heartfelt words shared by a few teachers about their students. The relationships formed between the staff and pupils were profound, evident in the continuous great work produced by the students. Thomas Keaney, our CEO, expressed his gratitude and praise to all the graduates, recognising their hard work and dedication. He appreciated the wonderful work displayed by the students and thanked them for contributing to the success and growth of TCES Create in the Community. Several of our teachers gave heartfelt remarks about our graduates, it was an emotional setting, and one of our post-16 students performed a song that caught everyone's attention.

After the formalities, the atmosphere became more relaxed as refreshments were served, and conversations flowed freely. The occasion was bittersweet as the community bid farewell to their graduates, knowing they were about to embark on new journeys in their lives.

Overall, the graduation ceremony was a beautiful event that marked the end of one chapter and the beginning of another for the graduates. TCES Create in the Community celebrated the achievements of their students with pride and promised to cherish the memories of the graduates who had become an integral part of their close-knit community. A huge thank you to all the staff including our Head of Service, Stephen Hehir, Pastoral Care Coordinator, Jack Briggs, Art Teacher, and Santiago Alcon for providing the artwork who also helped make this event possible; we look forward to celebrating our graduates in 2024!
